PAC's OS-1 OnStar® interface will plug into General Motors factory harness without having to cut or splice into the factory plug. The plug and play feature of the OS-1 will also interface directly with a factory equipped Bose sound systems when used with the PAC's OEM-1 premium sound system interface. The OS-1 incorporates a microcontroller that communicates directly with OnStar's serial data protocal to prevent false triggering thus eliminating unwanted audio noise through speakers. Onboard amplifier will drive two, 4 ohm speakers in stereo. Use with existing speakers in front doors or use external/separate speakers.

Note: The OS-1will not work with OnStar® equipped vehicles that have factory radios with RDS. Factory radio's with RDS can be indendified by locating an RDS logo on the front face of the factory radio. OS-1 currently supports trucks and SUV's from 1996-2001 and 1999-2002 Pontiac Gran Prix. Pontiac Grand Prix with BOSE requires a OEM-1 and a AMP-GM21B wire harness.
